Bookmark me

Look at my new hair!

I made another bookmark. With blue felt on the back. Looks good, if I may say so myself.
Am having vacation, so not much is happening....

A Birthday Bookmark

I made a Winnie The Poo bookmark for my cousins kid who will turn six in September. He will soon start school, so a bookmark and a cool book will probably be something he will love.

And look my very first tassel. (Out of the scrap floss from the kit). Thank you sewandso for your wonderful sale, everyone will get a kit for Christmas this year;) Kit was from Designer Stitcher and was called "Poo's happy bookmark"
The instructions were quite clear as Poo's eyes look good even though I used french knots...
I think that is the reason why he looks so cute.. The French knots look like exactly that, french knots and not knots upon another knot and a bit of sewing to make it look like an eye and then one eye is a lot bigger than the other and before I know it what looked cute has turned into a monster......

And, curtesy of my friend's mother, (again) I took some of the fabric I got from her and hand sowed it together. At the back it looks awful, but I blame the schoolsystem;) Not enough time to learn to sow. And learning at age 25 how to do these things makes some of my stuff look a bit on the childish side. But, who cares, I get better at it right? And I have a lot of fun (usually before the french knots and backstitch have reared their ugly heads).

Why hello there birds

Look, it is up, finally. I bought, without measuring might I add, the bellpull hanger thing. And it fits. The rabbit looks great. One day, he will hang in our hall. Since he says welcome in finnish and norwegian.
And I have added the little bunnies around him too, what do you think?

A Christmas present done.... No idea who for. And it might need ironing. But, look. A birdie. No onto my new stash from sewandso:P

A button is a button no matter how you look at it.

One day, I was walking and I found these buttons. All three. Weird how someone walks out on their buttons like that. And I find it strange how they all are different in size and colour. How did they get lost? Were they on a jacket? Were they in a jacket?
I guess we'll never know. I washed them and gave them a home.

A Finish and something for show

TADAH!

I made this on vacation. Isn't she cute? Her name is Pink Lady, you know like the apples. Of course she is a childrens toy and thus was really easy to sew. She came in this cool box too, so you can see why she came home with me?

And I went to the red cross store, and found these lovely birds, for a bargain too!
Am thinking they will fit in our cabin.
And and and, they are even in thicker yarn too, so probably they will just whisk away before you know it:P

The finish, the real finish and not child's play. I made this hedge rabbit, 3 pounds on sale from sewandso. And speaking of sewandso, I just could not help myself and bought seven more kits from them that were on sale. I really love small kits.
